The Why
Have you ever wanted to set up an automated follow-up process that encourages your subscribers / customers to take a desired action? But how do you stop communicating to them once they have taken the desired action? This is exactly what you will learn to do in this case study.
In the scenario we explore in this case study, we have customers making a purchase on our website, after which they receive a gift card that they need to activate. First we need to add these subscribers to our system in SalesAutopilot, then we have to set up an automated follow-up series which will remind them to activate their gift card, then we need to be able to keep track of when they activate their gift card, and not send them additional communications after they have done so.
This process and case study was inspired by our friend Nick from America. Thank you Nick!
The What
The How
Awesome! Now that we've set up the entire process, let's talk about how you can operate it.
The first thing will be to add your customers to the process. There are two ways you can do that. You either use the internal form we created in the video, or you import a large number of subscribers all at once. To learn about importing subscribers, read this tutorial.
The second thing will be to update your customers information with their gift card activation date. Once again, there are two ways you can do that. The first one is to use the internal form we created in the video. The second way is to update your customers' information by importing new details, which is explained in this video.
Here's how you can use the internal form to enter the date when a subscriber activated their gift card:
